About the lesson

We always start with a conversation, by reviewing goals and students' expectations. Then we proceed to have the students play whatever piece she/he/they prepared, and assess what our lessons would be like: which technique book, scales, concerto, piece, etc.
In case the student wants to start learning from the beginning, we visit every aspect of the instrument: its parts, and how it works. Then, progressively we start playing short pieces. It is fascinating to see how fast they progress and move through the Suzuki method!
We organize everything with a very specific schedule so we can ensure there is time for practicing regularly.

Mr. Reyes taught my little cousin and he was amazing! very communicative, effective, and understanding. My cousin also prepared with Mr. Reyes for his youth orchestra audition, he progressed dramatically and made it to the All-State Orchestra in Miami.
