About Dave
I can show students the subtle points of how fiddling comes alive, including bowing, double stops, improvising, backing up a singer in different styles. Bluegrass, Irish, Oldtime, Western Swing, etc.
I've been teaching for many years and enjoy it a lot. Twice Wisconsin State fiddle champion, winner of many Massachusetts fiddle contests, author of several instructional fiddle books with Mel Bay Publications, recorded a number of CDs including instructional ones with fast and slow versions of tunes.
