As a current medical student, I can sympathize with the stress of school. I understand that many students may dislike their classes (especially college students) as courses are not always relevant to their careers and may serve as a major source of stress. As someone who has jumped this hurdle, allow me to pass on everything I know to make it easier for you. I hope to help you do well in your classes but also teach you how to teach yourself. Once you know how to learn, you won't need as much time studying, will perform better on exams, and most importantly, can make time for things that are fun and fulfilling.

Hello! My name is Naomi! As a tutor, I take pride in meeting students where they are in the process of learning. I hope to serve as a bridge between what you know and what you want to know.
I have 2 years of tutoring experience in the following courses: college-level biology and physics courses as well as Pre-algebra and Algebra I.
Typically, I like to start off a session by assessing the tutee's goals. For instance: Are you looking for a broad review of a group of concepts or a targeted review of a specific concept?
After gauging what you would like to gain from the session, I typically structure my lessons into four parts: Clarifying (as needed) conceptualizing, memorizing, and practicing. Each of these steps is essential to demonstrate your knowledge on an exam. Additionally, I like to provide student-specific tips on how you might learn best in the future.
