About Lauren
I have been tutoring part-time for 2 years now, but I started helping others with their studies long before this, when I was still in secondary school myself. My specialist areas are English (GCSE & A Level) and the 11 Plus Entrance Exams. I understand better than most that quality and style of teaching is essential for a student's progress, as this was the key to my own success at GCSE and A Level.
I have tutored from age 4-17 in the past, so have wide-ranging experience. I mainly tutor Maths and English, but have extensive experience in teaching the 11+ Entrance Exam skills also.
I am also confident in tutoring English Literature A Level, and achieved highly in this myself.
It is important to me that I understand what kind of learner a student is so that I may cater my lessons to an individual's learning style. This means my lessons can be both engaging and informative.
