About Brian
I have been a special needs teacher for six years and have helped students with a variety of subjects, from math and English to social studies and science. I have worked with students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, including remote teaching during the COVID pandemic. I have devloped a positive rapport with students and their families in writing and facilitating their IEPs and helping students prepare for life after school.

I started working in education as a para in a severe needs high school program and for the past six years have worked with students with mild to severe needs in all subjects and grade levels.
I am licensed teacher and have worked with students of all abilities from kindergarten through high school. My speciality has been working with students on IEPs.

I read through their paperwork and talk with their previous teachers as well as their parents. I also take time to get to know them (personality, strengths, weaknesses, interests) so that I can better relate material to them.
I have worked with students at all grade levels and abilities.
Don't just look at what they teach, but how they teach it and if they match with your personality.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about where your strengths and weaknesses are and specifically think about what questions you have. Be specific about where you are struggling so you can better advocate for yourself.
