About Marielle

Interested in learning a new language such as English, Spanish, or Hebrew? Do you want to get to know more about the world? Learning with me will give you the chance to learn any of these languages in a fun and entertaining way! I am passionate about helping others and making them understand the world from a different perspective. It is extremely important to know more than one language because it can help you so much throughout your life.

My goal is that these tutoring sessions would be a mix of formal and non-formal education where students will be able to understand things in a clearer way! I have lived in 3 different countries throughout my life and have worked with kids for many years as a passion of mine. I grew up in a youth group and did activities for kids every weekend and worked at many summer camps. What fills my heart at the end of the day is that I impacted my kids and see that they learned something with me.

My LinkedIn is: (concealed information)

The best feeling when I am working with kids at the end of the day is seeing a smile on their faces and them telling me how much they learned from me. What fills my heart is when I see how they continue growing as people and I am creating a positive impact in them. I don't think there is a better feeling that can compare to that.

I prefer meeting students through a video call so I will get to know them in a better way, understand their personalities a bit more, and try to see what is the best way for them to learn. We all know that learning something online is very difficult right now, I myself have struggled with that too, but I want to help my students in the best way possible!

For most of my life, I grew up going to an amazing youth group where we had several activities every Saturday based on important subjects. Once I started high school I was trained for a year to become a guide myself to eventually have my own group of kids and teach them about important subjects that have some meaning to it but in a fun way. I love kids, and I love being able to see that I taught them something. I also worked in a kindergarten in Israel for a while with 4-6 year olds and it was an amazing experience!

Getting to know the student is where I always start. Everyone in this world is different and has different likes and dislikes. So, it is important to me to get to know them and their hobbies, and in that way, I will be able to see what is the best way they can learn something new!

I have worked with kids of many different ages. From 14-15 year olds, then 11 year olds, and finally little kids from 4-6 years old. To be honest, I work well with all ages, I can always find some sort of connection to the student.

Personally, I have always believed that when you are looking for a tutor it has to be someone you can truly connect with, someone who understands you and wants to truly help you. I moved to Mexico City when I was 4 years old and my parents told me that I didn't want to learn Spanish when we first got there, but then, they found a tutor that I absolutely loved and connected with, and thanks to her I learned Spanish. I want to be that person for other students, someone who they enjoy spending time with but learns from at the same time.

I am currently doing a hotel internship in Jackson Hole. I have never been to the Midwest before and this has been a wonderful experience for me! I am a people person and love meeting others so this experience has been very fulfilling for me getting to know others from different states around the US. Living between these gorgeous mountains in a small town has given me a new experience I never had before and I am grateful for that.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
A student can be confused when trying to learn something new with a tutor. I am not sure if there are any specific questions but I think the most important of all is for students to be open and willing to ask questions. I am not a shy person and I have helped shy students get out of their shells before, so I want them to ask me whatever they want. There are no stupid questions someone can ask me.
