Once I start working with my new students I check her level of Spanish and their goals for our class.
Then we work progressively to reach out goals, learning vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.
I think is really important when you are reaching for a new teacher or to learn for a new language to find your perfect match, what I mean with this is a teacher who is a knowledgeable and we feel comfortable and open to talk.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think is important for student to ask about:
class structure
teacher knowledge of the language
method
goal setting
