About Brian
I have been involved in soccer, as a player, coach and referee for 40+ years. I coached competitive soccer for 20 years, here in Dallas, and have been refereeing for the last 10 years.
My coaching experience is with Solar Soccer Club and Dallas Texans. My training also included goalkeeper work, as I was the Goalkeeper Coach for the Texans.
I have my National D License and my focus is on usable skills, based on the age, and how to use them in a game.
I want kids to enjoy the game, work hard, don't worry about mistakes (everyone makes them), and love the game enough that they want to pass it onto their next generation. The best part about skills training is when a player or parent tells me that they are using what we work on in a game.
Firstly, wanted to make sure my girls were taught good skills and felt like I was the best person to do that. Along the way, their teammates learned how to play with game the way I wanted it taught, which is possession, passing and movement away from the ball. Shooting is a by-product of this type of play.
I have since trained girls playing in high school and college.
In addition to my National D License, I also have my National Goalkeeper License and a Grade 7 referee license. I hope you will find my approach challenging and rewarding.

We will do an evaluation and will also talk with the player about what they want to learn, how have they been taught before, what they think they are good at, and where do they believe they need improvement.
All skill levels, from new players to players playing at high competitive levels. Have assisted those moving onto college. Trained a player who is now part of the USWNT player pool and was a 4-year GK starter at UT.
You need to choose someone who will help you develop at your current level, and then take you to the next level. Be willing to accept the training, and know that your trainer should only have one thing in mind, and that is for you to reach your desired level of excellence.
All three of my daughter's have graduated college. One has her Doctorate in Physical Therapy, one is a sports broadcaster for the Dallas Cowboys, and one has her Masters in Public Accounting.
