She went really in depth with my monologue preparation and we explored lots of different ways of looking at the text. I enjoyed the pace that we took through the whole process. I felt very prepared and confident in my material. As with singing, we delved into some warm ups that were unfamiliar to me but helpful in improving my voice. When we first started, Kate took me through each of the vocal exercises in detail, making sure that I understood what the goals were of each one. Our lessons have been efficient and are time well spent, and Kate is a lot of fun to work with. She also is helping me prepare a few songs that I can have in my back pocket if I ever have a last minute audition or performance.
