About Ashley
My expertise is in classical technique, although you don't need to be interested in classical music to take lessons from me. I have a bachelor's degree from Winthrop University in vocal performance and a master's degree in vocal pedagogy (the art and science of teaching voice) from East Carolina University. I have a strong passion for teaching and if you take lessons from me, you will learn about proper breathing technique, classical vocal technique, and musicality. First, I would like to get to know the student. I will ask why the student wants to take voice lessons and what genre the student is interested in singing/learning to sing. Once I know these things, I will teach the student the basics of singing and assign them repertoire to practice at home.
