I've loved my voice lessons with Mary Helen! She is a kind, patient coach and has so much knowledge about vocal strategy and strengthening. Between the fun breathing exercises and the song practice, week to week, I have noticed my voice become stronger and more stable. Mary Helen is very encouraging and always checks in to see how you're feeling about your own performance. She gauges what is working and where some support is needed. I feel much more knowledgeable and capable in my singing abilities!

Mary is friendly and a kind singing teacher. She helped me prepare for an audition. Since I have never done the musical theater audition, I didn’t know where to start. She suggested me couple of songs and helped me decide which one to sing. As I practice with her, I could tell the improvement quickly and even though I was nervous, she encouraged me a lot. I’m so grateful that I got to work with her.

It’s been a long time since I was in choir but training with MaryHelen reminded me how much fun singing can be - even just for a hobby! Within minutes, she was able to tell that I could sing but am often held back by fear (laughter or a tight jaw). The next lessons I take with her will address those things more in depth.

My 12 year old daughter started taking voice lessons with Mary Helen a few months ago. Within literally 4 months or so my daughter’s voice improved drastically and she started hitting notes that I couldn’t believe she was actually singing! Mary Helen used visualization to explain different voice techniques which really made it easy and fun for my daughter to understand how to use her voice and breathe correctly. The level of classical voice training that Mary Helen provides is theater worthy and totally professional! So happy to have found her!
