About Helen
I love to see the satisfaction in my children's faces after completing their projects!
I have been sewing since I was 13 so that is over 25 years! I am the owner of a hat company and have been teaching children to sew since 2018.
I started teaching as something for the children to do during the summer. Now that more children are being homeschooled, I am looking to do this full-time to fulfill an Arts credit for the parents.
My training came from working with my mom and also on my own for over 13 years.

I like to start by teaching the students parts and basic working of the sewing machine. Once we feel comfortable there I move on to sewing straight lines. My first project with my students is a blanket. Its something easy to sew and functional.
My age groups are 7-15 and unclude students from all walks of life.
