About Jessica
I love to make learning fun! I always try to plan fun and exciting activities that help us practice the skills we are working on.
What I enjoy most about teaching and tutoring is connecting with my students and watching them grow. There is no better feeling for the student and for the teacher than when something just clicks and the student gets that aha moment they have been working toward!
I have a degree in elementary education and special education. I am well versed in many reading and writing programs, as well as math programs. I am trained in Orton Gillingham and Fundations which are phonics programs that help students learn how to read.

My typical process for working with a new student is to give them some baseline assessments to find out their strengths and weaknesses. I then use that data to guide my instruction. I also like to do fun games and activities to get to know a new student.
