About Laurie
My passion for pilates started at the young age of 30. I was experiencing chronic neck and lower back pain. I took my first class in Atlanta and I was hooked! As I left the studio I had a euphoric feeling and my body felt peaceful. For 10 years I was committed driving 45 minutes to my class 2 times a week. In 1998 I decided to become certified and got my mat certification. I became obsessed with the method and advanced my studies to the whole system. This was not enough I studied gyrotonics, breath work, deep stretching and opened my own studio 2004 in Santa Rosa beach, fl. One year after opening my studio I was diagnosed with an incurable cancer...the rest is history. To learn more about my mission and my story you can read more (concealed information)
I have written 2 books journaling my story my passion and my purpose.
I look forward to sharing how pilates has changed my life, physically, emotionally and mentally...

My passion for pilates goes deeper than just teaching the system. I share not only my love of pilates but teach you to not only heal your body but to harmonize so that you can live a healthier life.
I suffered with chronic neck and lower back pain. Nothing helped and I was not willing to take drugs to mask the pain. I new I needed to strengthen my core and pilates intrigued me. After my first session I was hooked! I took pilates for 10 years then decided to get certified so I could share how pilates helped me.
I have been certified for over 20 plus years in pilates, yoga and taught equestrian for almost 20 years. My passion is to teach and guide you to your best life! I am considered a master teacher and have furthered my studies in other modalities such as breath work, gyrotonics, reiki, chi gong, deep stretching and yoga. I also wrote a book called 'I am living to Tell'

We first have a conversation on the phone. Once I have a good understanding of your goals and possible limitations we do a meet and greet. From there we do a body assessment and then we do a 30 minute demo on me. If everyone is happy we book our first private session.
I have been fortunate to work with thousands of clients...from young to seniors, extremely fit to unfit. I have rehabbed most of my clients and have received tremendous joy watching them become pain free. Any Body can do pilates!
First explore their website ask about their teachings and how long they have been teaching. Go to their studio and have them give you a demo. Ask them how pilates can help you and why do they teach pilates. Ask for a master teacher! Let them know your goals and how can they help you achieve them.
