About Caroline
Hi!
My name is Caroline Portu, I have been a professional singer for five years and have sung with some of the top vocalists in the country including winner of "The Voice," Jermaine Paul, Smash's Katherine Mcphee, and alongside the Boston Pops. I have also performed Off-Broadway, and a number of infamous cabaret spots in NYC (Club Cumming, 54 Below). Full time I worked in a cover band/jazz band (NightShift Entertainment, and the Beantwon Swing Orchestra, respectively), but I also write original music and have been a full time gig artist for the last five years. I also teach beginning-intermediate piano lessons, though I specialize in voice. Kids/Teenagers are my main clients but I am happy to work with anyone who has the drive! Let's make some music!
I was hired by one of my bandmates to work at their music school!
I have been a professional singer for five years in styles of pop, rock, opera, jazz, and musical theater and have taught lessons for the last two.

It's important that our first meeting lays a blueprint for where we want to go. I like to to discuss the student's experience, interests, goals, musical tastes, etc...so we can assess where we would like to be in the next six months or so.
Mainly children-teenagers.

She's the best. So fun, so funny. Amazing voice. My voice is WAY clearer and stronger than it was when I started.
