About Tashia
I am an artist based in Northwest Alabama. The artistic culture seems to be unique to this area in which I grew up and still reside today. Northwest Alabama still yields many unique musicians and other various types of artists today as it did several decades ago. The beautiful picturesque landscapes across the land here inspires many of my works of art. The Native American culture is instilled in me as well as many others born and raised in this area due to our ancestors from a few generations back being full blooded Native Americans.
I have been practicing art for thirteen years with being an active artist the past eight of those years. I am a self taught artist with some formal education in the arts studied at The University of North Alabama located in Florence Alabama. The medium I mainly focus on is acrylic art. I work with watercolor and oil on occasion as well. The subject matter I work with most is landscapes and nature type paintingsn however; I do create several abstract pieces along with that. In every piece of art I create, my main is goal is to express my innermost feelings; to put my heart and soul on canvas for the world to feel and interpret how they may. The main focus of my teaching technique is to help artists of all ages and skill levels express their heart and soul in all of their creative endeavors.
I enjoy creating in general. I truly believe i was created to do so. My passion is art and my ability to grow as a person with each piece i create. I enjoy helping artists find their inner artistic voice in this world and sharing with them the skill sets they need to adequately express that for all to see and feel. I take pride in my ability to adapt to each student on a personal level to h3lp them reach their own artistic goals.
