I have a graduate degree from Oxford University and four years of experience as a tutor, successfully preparing students for entrance exams at top independent and grammar schools. My Approach to 11+ Tutoring I take a structured yet adaptive approach to 11+ tutoring, ensuring that each lesson is engaging, personalised, and effective. My teaching focuses on building a strong foundation in key subjects—maths, English, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning—while also equipping students with the exam techniques and confidence needed to excel under timed conditions. Techniques & Teaching Methodology I break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps to ensure deep understanding. I use an interactive online whiteboard to create a highly visual and engaging learning experience. Each session includes targeted practice, timed exercises, and real exam questions to develop speed and accuracy. I integrate psychology-informed techniques to help students manage exam pressure, build confidence, and develop a growth mindset. My approach is tailored to each child’s strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring a personalised learning journey. Lesson Length Lessons typically last 60 minutes, though I can offer longer or shorter sessions depending on the student's needs and attention span. Who My Lessons Are For I specialise in 11+ preparation for students aged 9 to 11, helping them gain entry into competitive schools such as Westminster, St Paul’s, Godolphin & Latymer, Eton, and more. Whether your child is aiming for a top-tier school or simply needs structured, expert guidance, my lessons provide the tools and strategies to help them succeed.
