About Sarah
My qualifications:
I am currently studying English and ab initio Russian at Durham University, where I am on track to gain a first class degree. I received A*A*A at A-level, and afterwards moved to France for a year where I worked as an au pair taking care of children and tutoring them in English whilst taking French classes to improve my own language skills. I also have a standard DBS check.
Experience:
I have been a tutor for two years at a school in Durham teaching AS level French under a tutoring program which I ran in its second year. I also gained a lot of experience tutoring Y7-11 aged children whilst working in France, and I'm happy to provide references on request.

Sarah is a brilliant tutor and is fully fluent in French. She is endlessly patient and her time studying languages in university has given her a deeper understanding of languages, which she brilliantly translates into her tutoring.
Sarah is a motivated and dedicated individual that has always shown a true compassion for society since I’ve known her. I believe her passion for English Literature would make her a perfect tutor to inspire a stimulating and effective learning environment for a pupil.
Sarah who I have known for many years tutored my son in the run up to his GCSE English exams last year ,he was a little overwhelmed where to start with his essay in particular, Sarah reassured and guided him in a very friendly calm way and he achieved a Grade 9 in both Lit and Lang. I can't recommend Sarah enough she is trustworthy ,dependable highly intelligent and just a thoroughly nice person.Sarah is a great tutor, she worked with me in preparation for GCSE English and really helped me understand how to apply what I'd learned in class to perform well in the exam. She is especially good at explaining in simple language and very patient, would recommend highly!
