About Baylee
I am a college sophomore at Saginaw Valley State University. I have over 6 years of experience teaching math to students with Dyscalculia, ADHD, and/or Dyslexia. I also have experience working with typically developing children who just need some extra help in math. I have worked with students from grades 4 through 8, but I am open to older or younger students. I would describe my teaching style as observant, adaptable, and understanding. I strive to support my students as I work with them and their parent(s) on building and strengthening their number sense skills, as well as whatever content they are working towards mastering. I have a passion for teaching neurodiverse students and utilizing many different teaching methods to best suit each learner. I find many neurodivergent students benefit from having math and number concepts presented in an atypical way such as through hands on activities and games. I will work at your student’s pace to ensure that nothing is rushed through and a strong foundation is built for higher math in the future.
