About Christina
I have seven years of hands-on tutoring experience, primarily in STEM fields. I earned excellent grades in all of my STEM courses in college and university, and am currently completing my bachelor of science in electrical engineering.

I like to begin by getting to know the student and their learning style and study habits. Teaching information is only part of the job - building good study habits is also important. Based on what I learn about the student, I may suggest different approaches to studying and learning, and try different approaches to tutoring to see what works best.
I have worked with students of various ages, from elementary age to adult students. I have also worked with many neurodivergent students and find that there tends to be good mutual understanding with them.
I don’t believe in being "bad at math" or "bad at science," and not being able to grasp these subjects instantly does not mean one is unintelligent. This mindset can cause a lot of anxiety around these subjects, which can worsen one's performance and reinforce the idea that someone is simply not cut out for it. As with most things in life, math and science require practice. You can be more skilled than you think you are, you just need to find the right approach.

Details
Pricing begins at $22.50 an hour for a single hour lesson. Discounts are available when purchasing 10 hour tutoring passes or prepaying for regularly scheduled tutoring sessions. Prices may also be adjusted for age and subject tutored.
