About Shahid
Hi, My name is Mr. Mahmood. I majored in mathematics and am enlightened for this opportunity to help the students. This is something I have experienced over time since 1994 after graduation. I am a proud teacher of successful high school students and have recieved the “Teacher of the Year” award several times as well. I have tutored after school for extra assistance for over 20 years. I have also held tutoring sessions in different locations helping out the study groups individually and in small groups. I believe that in math, everything is built upon the other which is why I do my best to make the learning experience as simplified as possible; while allowing it to be a fun and creative experience.
I follow up on the rule "I do- We do- You do". After reviewing the objectives of the lesson, I will do a problem explaining each step. Then, We will do a problem together following those steps. Finally, the student will solve a problem on their own using the strategies they have learned in the session. Of course, the individual needs may vary this process. Once we start a session, the student is guaranteed to leave satisfied and able to perform any task related to the lesson.
Benefiting the students is my top priority which is why I make myself available to the students and parents. I am easy to reach and will provide responses quickly. Therefore, feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson!
