About Katlin
I can do multiple different subjects and have taken a varity of different classes. I have been an Honors and AP student for all four years of my high school career. I also as a person am fun to be around, and try to come up with new ways to learn something besides how it might be taught in the class room setting.
I think my most favorite thing is once I really understand what I am doing, I really begin to enjoy the work and it makes doing the work alot more fun and less of a drag to do. Once that lightbulb moment comes, that is what I really enjoy.
Well I struggled in classes too and did not really have anyone to help me so I started tutoring because I thought it could be my way of helping kids like me when I was in school.
Despite me completing my senior year of high school, I am pretty qualified because I have been peer tutoring with students since my sophomore year. I also often TA in many other classes and learn what they are learning so that I can better help the students in the class.

First before getting into the actual school, I will take a little bit of time to get to know them so we can be comfortable with one another. I think that is important.
Then I will procede to ask them what they can tell me about the unit they are working in and what they have been doing in class. I will then do a little verbal quiz so I can understand what they may need further explaination/help with.
I have worked with all kinds of students. Some students that once it is explained differently and just need some guidance and others who may take a little longer. There are also students I have worked with who just simply do not want to do their work.
