About Abigail
Looking for a tutor who can make learning fun? That’s where I come in! With my bachelors degree in K-8 Education just around the corner, I help K–8 students build confidence, stay motivated, and master tough subjects with patience, creativity, and a sense of humor. Whether it’s tackling tricky math problems, improving reading skills, or getting organized for school success, I tailor every session to fit your child’s learning style. My goal isn’t just better grades—it’s helping your child enjoy learning and feel proud of what they can achieve!
I have been passionate about teaching since as long as I could remember. Having my bachelors degree in education finishing up, I am ecstatic to begin my journey in a classroom, as well as certify my ability to tutor professionally.
I currently am student teaching to finish my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I have also worked as a teacher in an alternative school for two years, ranging from a variety of subjects from K-8th grade.

My first step is always building a foundation of trust. I need to understand what the student is specifically struggling with and what style of teaching the student will best connect with.
Once I am understanding of how the student learns best, I then work through the difficult curriculum with the student, allowing more independence with each problem. Eventually the student will be able to work through the math problems by themselves.
I am always encouraging of questions to better the understanding of the curriculum. I want my students to be curious about math.
I have worked with a wide variety of students, including students with 504 plans, IEPs, ESL Students and Gifted students. I believe it has rounded me out as an educator is many ways.
