About Kyle
I am an expert in Semiconductor device modeling - a field of Engineering that requires the application of many fields of mathematics and physics, as well as computer programming. I have tutored my peers in both High School and College, both for money and not, and I am currently tutoring my little sister in High School Algebra.
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics, and a Cumulative GPA of 4.0. My ability to teach is backed by my tutoring experience, my success in Academia, and my application of my education in the fast-paced world of the Semiconductor Industry.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering (lots of math and science classes, along with engineering and programming classes)

First, understand their strengths and weaknesses in the subject matter. Then, work together to outline specific concepts that the student is currently struggling to understand. Next, I explain each specific concept, while reinforcing each explanation with practice problems (usually from HW or past exams/quizzes) and visual diagrams until it 'clicks.' Concepts usually click after 1-2 sessions, and the student's understanding of the subject matter goes from 'I don't get this' to 'I understand this pretty well now' by the end of the semester.

Details
$25-35/hr depending on subject, my travel time, and session length. Less advanced subjects are cheaper, more advanced subjects are more expensive. I try not to factor travel time or session length into hourly rate too much, but a 1-hr round trip for a 1-hr tutoring session will neccessarily be more expensive per hour than a 2-3 hour session that is a short drive away from me.
