About Nihal
I focus on teaching the fundamentals with little to no memorization. I believe math is all about logic, understanding, and practice. I emphasize this with each one of my students.
I love helping students realize their full potential. I believe everyone can master math if they're determined to work hard, and I strive to help each of my students reach this goal.
I began tutoring during my bachelor's degree and I've loved it ever since!
I'm a mechanical engineer by trade who graduated from UCLA in 2019. I began tutoring during my bachelor's degree when my university hired me to tutor other university students. Since then I've spent the last 5+ years tutoring high school and college students in various math and science subjects such as algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, physics, and general chemistry. I'm passionate about helping people reach their full potential and I would love to work with you!

I start out by asking what the student is struggling with and what they would like to improve on (such as homework, test scores, or general improvement overall). I will develop a plan of action with your input to improve upon the areas that we identified earlier. My approach will always be based on improving understanding without memorization as I believe that is the key to success in Math. I'll be knowledgable, patient, and I'll hold your hand throughout the learning process, but I will never do you homework for you.
I've worked with high school and college students between the ages of 14-22.
Find someone who is experienced in tutoring math. Being brilliant at Math doesn't mean you'll be good at teaching it - you've got to be good at the subject as well as teaching it!
I had a student who had zero confidence in Math and was struggling to keep up with her high school Algebra 2 honors class. I've been working with her for the past 7 months and now Algebra is her top subject. She's gotten so good at it she no longer needs my help! I'm extremely proud of her dramatic improvement and enjoyed working with her.
