About Kymasi Ellis
As a sophomore civil engineering student at Howard University, I'm good at math. I've taken Algebra, Geomety, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, Calculus II, Calculus III, and I'm currently taking Differential Equations.
If you're in need of a math tutor, I can definitely help. I'm very patient with those I'm tutoring, and will help you or your scholar work through each and every aspect of their work until they fully understand the concepts.
Math doesn't have to be hard! Hire me as a tutor and it'll all make sense!
I started teaching just by helping my friends and classmates with their work. Then I moved on to tutoring students.
I've gone through years of schooling, am currently in college, and have taken many math classes. I scored a 720/800 on the SAT math section, and got a 4 on the AP Calculus exam. I've also worked with younger students at my church, and have experience working with people ranging from preschool all the way through high school.

First, I ask the student what problems they've been assigned that they have issue with. Then, I ask them to attempt the problem as best they can. Watching them attempt to solve it, even if they are stuck at the very first step, I can help them along and explain to them what they need to do, why they need to do it, and how it can be done.
Math problems are usually easy to complete if you can recognize the signs to use certain methods of solution, and students usually are stuck because they don't can't recognize the sign that would tell them what type of problem they are working with.
Anyone is welcome.
