About Marwin
I am an independent, private tutor that loves to see students becoming successful.
I got my start by volunteering my services to the public library. After parents and teachers passing by as I was tutoring were complimenting me, they asked if I could tutor their kid. They have referred me to their friends and family and I was helping their kids succeed.
I have tutored students from K-12 in a variety of subject, but I specialize in math (up to precalculus), biology, and chemistry.
Note: I have been on hiatus from tutoring due to my university schedule (2018 - present). However, I still retain the quality to tutor through my times in language exchange.

I have been tutoring since my third year of high school and have done it for a total of 5 years. I was on hiatus because of my university schedule, but I brush up on my tutoring when I do language exchange.

I ask the student or parent what they need to work on, it could be homework or concepts to review. Wether homework or review, I would ask questions that will help the student reach the answer. By doing this approach, I am encouraging the student to think. I would make suggestions or refine my questions when the student takes a little too long. I try my best to create an environment where the student can answer a question, even if the answer is wrong or an "I don't know". My goal is to help them develop the skill of thinking while we finish the student's homework and review.
I have worked with students from K-12 in a variety of subjects. My speciality subjects are math (up to precalculus), biology, and chemistry.
