Honestly I just have my students come to me and show me what they are working on and start working with them, going through the process step by step and if they have any questions keep answering them along the way.
The type of students I've worked with are Special needs, kids that don't really want to learn but I try to make it fun for them to want to be understand and sit there through it and kids that are just struggling and need the extra help to better understand.
