About Crockett
I am a passionate educator and student of mathematics, having earned a bachelor's of science in math in 2021, and a Master of Arts in math in 2022 from the University of Maine. I have two years experience teaching both remotely and in person for the school, and sporadic tutoring experience from high school on, working both for the school and independently. I am well prepared to explain and assess Calculus topics and all relevent prerequisite material.

I take a back to basics approach when meeting with new students. All new material requires a solid understanding of old material. I try to understand what the student has struggled with in the past, and review the relevent topics for the upcoming lessons. In the beginning of a typical calculus course, students often stumble over factoring quadratics and understanding why one might want to do such a thing. Old material that can seem overly abstract should be motivated with new material and physical examples.
