About Bryan
I try to teach students how to think mathematically, as opposed to simply compute problems. I want students to develop problem-solving skills and to be able to tackle new types of problems as if they were a riddle.
I enjoy watching students be able to tackle problems by themselves after they learn how to think mathematically.
I also enjoy watching students who originally wanted to catch up, suddenly wanting to get ahead once they realize that they can.
I was hired at Valencia College -West Campus as a Math & Physics tutor and SL (student assistant), as well as at Mathnasium as a Math Instructor working first with Elementary & Middle School students, and then with high school & college students in Calculus & Statistics.
I'm a Senior Math major at UCF with a minor in Computer Science. I have also worked at Valencia College -West Campus as a Math (including Calculus & Statistics) & Physics tutor, as well as a Physics SL (student leader, similar to a teacher's assistant). In addition, I worked at 2 different Mathnasium locations as a Math Instructor.

My typical process for working with a new student involves outlining what the student is looking for from a teacher, as well as what goals they are seeking to satisfy from the tutorship.
Usually, at first, students are seeking remedial tutorship because they are behind, but then end up wanting to get ahead so that they get better grades when they encounter the type of problems at school to improve their grades.
I have tutored Elementary, middle school, high school, and college level students.
Some that were looking for a more remedial experience, as well as those students that wanted to get ahead.
