About Scott
You need help in math, physics, or engineering? You are in the right place. I have 20 years of teaching and 15 years of tutoring experience.
I competed in math contests in HS (winning my state Math League my junior and senior years along with numerous others) and participated in the US Math Olympiad Training the summer after my junior year.
My degrees are in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and Math Education.
Teaching and tutoring are types of problem solving. There are many types of students. Some are good students who just need refreshers along the way. Many others are better than they know themselves, but they had some event or experience in their lives that makes them doubt their abilities. Unlocking this riddle is the problem solving aspect of teaching/learning math.
While a tutor in college, I realized that teaching was my calling.
Over 35 years of teaching and tutoring experience. Started working some 20 hours per week while in college as a math and engineering tutor.

I cater every process to the individual. Most important is what each student's goals are. Where the student begins is important, but setting goals with the plan of reaching just beyond them is the process.
All levels. One former student wanted to get into a "reach" college. His 650 SAT math wasn't going to work. We worked a couple of timer per week for 6 weeks and he got a 780.
Most important is the comfort level the student has with the teacher. If that is met, then the instruction comes much more easily.
Over Thanksgiving break, I dismantled the back steps to my mother's house and rebuilt them with Trex decking. That stuff will last longer than the rest of the house.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The most important question isn't "how well do I want to do?" it's "How much effort am I willing to expend?" If the effort is there, then results follow.

Depends upon the number of lessons and duration of each. I have found that one hour to 90 minutes is the best length of each session.
