About Aliya
I'm a fourth year doctoral candidate in physics with seven years of tutoring experience. I've worked with students tutoring math, physics, and chemistry for both the AP and non-AP stream. I've tutored a range of grades from 8th grade to 12th grade. I will develop a personalized teaching strategy for each student based on areas they need to improve and their problem solving strengths.
As a scientist, I love math, physics and chemistry and I'm very passionate about the subjects. I know, from many years of teaching, that these subjects are often poorly taught and as a result students find them "boring" or "intimidating". I love working with students to show them that physics can be fun. The most rewarding part of teaching is watching students apply what they've learned to correctly solve problems. Their joy is why I've continued to teach for so many years
