About Alexia
I am a college student hoping to help those younger than me succeed in their education. I specialize in Elementary and Middle School education in all subjects. I also help with high school math as well as biology and history.
I have always loved working with children. I understand sometimes it takes someone who is younger to teach a student a subject rather than a teacher for them to grasp it. Thus, I am committed to seeing that smile on my students' faces when they understand something they did not before and that alone is enough reward for my job.
I have been an assistant teacher in an elementary school for four years. I also have experience as a nanny where I often help my kids with homework. Along with that I have tutored for 6 years in a range of subjects for all different ages.

For a new student it is important for me to first grasp their personality in order to understand the best way to teach them. Thus, I usually begin by asking them a bit about their social life, hobbies, or anything else they might enjoy. I then begin with topics they are struggling with the most and break it down to understand where they might be confused. From there I work through the subject or the problems teaching them easier ways to remember techniques or strategies to solve or remember the information.
