About Nadine
My name is Nadine Wikstrom. I am a math teacher at Grace Christian School in Mankato, MN. I have taught many math courses ranging from 6th grade to Calculus 1 since Fall 2016. During the summer months, I have tutored many students-mostly in Algebra- whether they need more help learning the material, reviewing, completing summer school, or they want to advance in math.
Before teaching at Grace, I attended North Dakota State University where I achieved a degree in Mathematics. While I attended NDSU I worked as a TA for upper level math classes such as Calc 3 and differential equations. I also worked for the ACE tutoring program on campus helping any student who needed it. On the side I also privately tutored a few students who needed some extra help.
I have been tutoring students in math for a little while now, and I absolutely love helping them feel more confident in their math skills and being a part of the joy they feel when they finally understand those challenging topics.
I graduated North Dakota State University (NDSU) with a degree in Mathematics in 2016. While I attended NDSU I worked as a teachers assistant and for the ACE Tutoring program they have. I was a TA for classes like College Algebra, Calculus 3, and Differential Equations. I worked in the ACE program with any college student who needed help of their math homework- usually Trigonometry, College Algebra, or Calculus 1.
Since Fall of 2016 I have been working for Grace Christian School (GCS) as a math teacher. I have taught courses ranging from 6th grade math to Calculus 1. During the summers I have tutored and continue to tutor many students. I’ve tutored students in 4th grade to college students taking Calculus 2. However, I have the most experience with high school students struggling or wanting to advance in Algebra.

I will discuss with the parent(s) and student what they hope to accomplish through tutoring. Then I will go over some options in order to obtain those goals. I also may send home a practice test to gain further understanding in the students strengths and weaknesses.

Details
Depending on the hours/time, location, and curriculum, I will charge $30-$50 per hour.
For example:
Student A- Meets with me 1-3 times a week for 3+ hours at a time; meets with me within 5 miles of my house or in my classroom at GCS; and student brings his/her own curriculum. I would charge ~$30/hr.
Student B- Meets with me once a week for less than hour each visit; meets with me at a location of their choosing further from me; and I supply all the material needed. I would charge ~$50/hr.
