About Madison
I am a certified math teacher with Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and a passion for working with students in order to help them achieve the highest level of success possible. I have been teaching for 2 years and tutoring for 6 years. I have previously received teacher of the month for outstanding achievement in the classroom. Content areas include: Middle Grades Mathematics, Math 1, Math 2, Math 3, Math 4, and PreCalulus.
I incorporate applications of math when possible to help students better understand the content that challenges them. I will go above and beyond to help all students gain mathematical competency.
I thoroughly enjoy working with students and immersing them with academic conversations revolving around math. My favorite part is when a student finally gets a concept and you can see the transformation in their attitudes towards mathematics.
I attended Campbell University and received a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. Throughout college I tutored through the University's Student Services department. Currently, I am a high school math teacher with 2 years experience.

First I like to set up a free introductory session to establish the students current needs and goals. During this session I will inquire about what course the student is in, where they are in the curriculum, and what resources their primary teachers use.
Prior to a session I will have the student fill out a Google Form that includes questions about what they learned in school, what they understood, and where they struggled. A normal tutoring session will take place via Zoom. I will use Zoom to share my screen with student and work through a specifically prepared lesson just for them giving them guided notes, examples, and instant feedback on their work.
