About Simone
Study Buddies stands out because I am a certified math teacher. My degree is in education with an emphasis is in middle school math. I have been teaching for five years. I teach middle school students, but Study Buddies is for all ages. Whether you are in school or out of school and want to brush up on math, Study Buddies can help!
I enjoy the 'aha!' moment. I enjoy students asking questions, finding different ways to approach a problem, listening to a student walk another student through an example. I enjoy seeing confidence being built in someone's math skills. Connecting, building relationships, learning and growing together is what I enjoy seeing and being part of.

Relationships are a crucial part of learning. Before we get into the math, I like to get to know students. What do they enjoy doing? What's something they're proud of? What are some goals?
Once a relationship is established, then we can move into a student's relationship with math. How does math make you feel? What do you feel are your strengths? What is something you need more support in?
These questions give me a chance to get to know students, how to reach them, and what they want to accomplish.
