About Benjamin
I'm a college senior majoring in Engineering Physics looking for something to work on in-between semesters. I love teaching people about how to think logically (I love riddles!). I don't have any professonial teaching experince, but I have helped my peers in high school with their math homework as well as more recently volunteering to help middle schoolers during my sopphone year at college. I earned a 34 on the ACT (33 in the math) and a 165 on the GRE general test's quantitative section.
I enjoy learning and teaching interesting things - and I'm upset that many people don't think math is interesting. Math is everywhere - not just formulas on a page - and I really enjoy making something people thought to be 'boring' turn out to be fun and get them interested in learning more too.

After getting to know them a little (name, age, second-favorite color, etc.), I like to open with a couple general questins to gauge where they stand and how they like to learn. Once we get started on their specifc problems, I first explain the general concept and what we should expect the answer to look like, and then ask them to take a shot at it - having the right 'idea' is often more important than just missing a negaitve sign somewhere.
