My goal is simple: I genuinely love helping students understand math! When students really learn how the ideas work—not just memorize steps—it strengthens their thinking and gives them skills that help them navigate challenges far beyond the classroom.
Many students struggle in math not because they aren’t capable, but because the concepts were never explained in a way that clicked. My teaching approach focuses on identifying where a student’s understanding breaks down and strengthening the underlying ideas that make the material work. Once those foundations are clear, the concepts students are trying to learn usually start making sense.
Students don’t need to be naturally “good at math” to work with me. The only thing I ask is that they come willing to try, ask questions, and put in the effort to learn. If that sounds like a good fit, I’d be happy to hear from you—feel free to reach out and we can talk about how I can help.
I've taught more than 30 students in math courses and other quantitative subjects. Sometimes I see dramatic changes in a students conceptial understanding—turning their "D" grade into an "A" by the end of the semester.

Perfect! Austin understands the importance of relationship in the learning process. He is kind, friendly, knowledgeable, ands he offers multiple paths to find solutions, so each learner can find their personal best method. He’s an excellent communicator, works schedules easily, and has been a huge help to my daughter in an advanced math class. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
Perfect! Austin was *wonderful* to work with! He made a quick and easy connection with my 9th grade son and was encouraging and patient as he worked to understand where my son's level of understanding was as they worked to improve his comprehension of the class material. I would often hear my son saying, "Ohhh, I get it now!" and was thrilled for a tutor who could explain such complicated things in a way that was more clear-cut and relatable to my son.
