I gather the students course material prior to session such as textbook, homework assignments and any other learning material. I like to assess the sutudents on where they are comfortable and where they are struggling. From there I start examples and concepts while walking the students through them. I work many problems all the way through explaining each and every step including material that may have been forgotten in previous courses. As I work examples I have my students take notes on everything I write for learning purposes and good note taking skills. I work only with paper and pencil for all math work and encourage my students to do the same, this ingrains the material far better than any electronic device.
