About Chandra
I specialize in making Math relatable and relevant through making numbers make sense to all students. I have a master's in Curriculum and Instruction. I have been teaching for 14 years and love using humor when connecting with my students. Math can be fun once you bridge the gaps that most students have experienced due to not be able to relate. I am the difference between not getting it and finally making sense of numbers.
I work with students from 3rd grade through 8th grade. My mission is to make learning math a joyful experience in the foundational stages of learning. I want to have students to fall in love with mathematics and build their confidence through targeted, engaging activities.
I enjoy changing the views of students when it comes to Math. Math is important and is used daily. It is important for our students to become critical thinkers and I enjoy creating and implementing tasks that will help students see math through a different lens.
