About Faith
I will not give up until you understand how to solve the problem.
I love seeing growth and my students' transition to independence.
I got started when I was 14 years old because I love Mathematics and I love helping people. It was a great opportunity for me to learn how to communicate with others and figure out how different people learn.
I have worked at the Baltimore Algebra Project in Highschool and I tutor Adults in Software Engineering. I am currently in my second to last semester at University of Maryland College Park studying Advanced Cybersecurity and Information Science.

The first thing I do before working with a student is get to know their learning style. I adapt every session based on how that student learns. I go through an example problem, then I ask the student to walk me through another example problem until they understand how to solve all parts of the question.
I have worked with small children with disabilities, I have worked with adults ranging from ages 18-67, and I have worked with children in their preteen and teenage years.
Be open and kind and willing to speak up when you don't understand something. It's okay to not know a concept. It's not okay to give up.
I was very proud when one of my software engineering students got a full-time job offer at JPMorgan. It was so amazing to see their growth from knowing nothing in software engineering to being able to explain to me everything about it.
