About Nick
I am a young professional who helps students learn math by exploring different ways to look at problems. I have been tutoring privately for two years locally, but I am now ready to help others! I am located in New England coast right outside of Boston. I have lived here my entire life and love lifting up my community!
The part I enjoy the most about helping students learn watching the look on their face as I can see them starting to understand different concepts. Working with each student is fun because every person learns different. It always a great feeling to help them achieve success in whatever class they are taking!
I have been teaching children since I was in my teens. In high school I helped coach community soccer and basketball. I also taught swim lessons as a life guard for four years before going to college. In college I volunteered at a local elementary school helping children improve their basic math skills.

I like to take a little time to get to know the student as a person. I've found kids work more diligently when they feel like they connect on a personal level with the tutor. Students work harder and will sometime even be eager to come to the sessions because they know I actually care about them. I care about all the aspects of life they are trying to succeed in. It's crucial to communication that you make a connection with the student. If they trust you and can talk with you, you can get way more done in every session.
