About Daniel
Mathamatical Guinness.
I struggled a great deal in elementary school to learn how to do math, and I remember feeling so lost and confused because I just didn't understand why I wasn't getting it. My teacher, Mrs. Johnson, began tutoring me after school, and she quickly realized that the root of my problem was that I was struggling to grasp the concept of factoring. She began using multiplication to show me the similarities with the two functions, and it gave me an understanding of the problem. I've always been so grateful for her innovation and commitment to meet me where I was, values that I strive to use in my own teaching. This inspired me to begin teaching so I can also have this positive impact in someone else's life.
I have taken these classes in the past and have finished with a 98% or higher.

Our first lesson is centered around finding out what the student already knows, and where the holes are in their mathematical knowledge so I can determine what to focus on. We also speak about the student’s goals, and then figure out the best way to proceed.
The types of students that I worked with the most are the students who are facing a challenge. I love to help a student who is struggling with a problem and then see them take on and overcome that problem. To pass on my love and understanding to mathematics is always a journey I find fun.
Always bring a notebook and pen make sure to write down all equations and steps towards the answering the equations we go over in our session. Be eager to learn new types of mathematics. Practice problems multiple times before tests.
Recently I helped a college student pass applied calculus with an A. It made happy to be part of this young woman's journey to a degree.
