- Have them show me the problem and how they would initially go about solving it
- Go through the problem by showing and telling them what I would to to solve it.
-Give them another problem that's similar to the first one so they can try to solve it on their own
I've worked with a wide array. From the student that has an incredibly bad stigma with math to the student who absolutely loves math but struggles in a certain area.
Look for a teacher that is not only great in their subject, but someone who is very patient and determined.
