About Sydney
Hi! My name is Sydney Clarke, I'm 24 years old, and I currently am located in Pensacola, FL but am originally from New Jersey. I graduated from Piscataway High School in 2017, with A's in all my mathematics courses. After high school, I attended the illustrious Hampton University in Hampton, VA studying Psychology and Criminal Justice, where I also maintained an A average throughout all of my math courses.
I've always had a passion for numbers and problem solving. Math has been my favorite subject ever since I entered school as a little girl. In high school, I was the Financial Secretary of an extracurricular activity for 2 years. Then, in college I was an assistant with the University's Financial Aid office.
Throughout those years, I always served as a math tutor to my peers, as I would be performing the best in most cases. In addition to my passion for math, I particularly enjoy helping others and seeing them reach their full potential. Kids genuinely are the future, and I would love to play a part in helping them be the best students they can be!

I feel it is very important to get to know each student individually to a certain extent. For one, I belive it is important to have a lighthearted and pleasant space, as that allows students the comfort to simply WANT to learn. Secondly, many reasons why students aren't successful in school is because their specific learning style is not being appealed to. Once I can identify the most effective way to teach, I will ask the students the way in which they were taught a particular topic and what the disconnect is. When those things are established, I will then teach and aid in the specific areas that are needed.
