About Maggie
I love working one-on-one with students of all backgrounds to create an understanding of those topics which are challenging to them. I am patient and love to learn together with my students. Though I only have a collective year of experience in tutoring, specifically in math, I have seen great results in creating better understanding and knowledge in my students through my volunteer work. I am excited to work with you and reach the goals you have, and facilitate a warm, welcoming learning environment where you can succeed.
I love seeing students come to understand a math concept that was hard for them. As someone who once struggled in math myself, I know what it is like to struggle and feel like I am falling behind my peers. I enjoy helping students, using what tools will help them best understand the material they find challenging.

When working with a new student, I look at the goals they have/want to create. I see what concepts they already understand, look at the gaps that need to be filled, and how we can move forward in creating better understanding of "problem" areas. I work with parents and student together to find what will work best.
