About Ryan
I have ten years of experience both being a student and being a teacher in various math and biology disciplines. I bring a relaxed atmosphere with clear and practical tutoring to help get you where you need to go in your coursework.
I started teaching in part because I found myself informally assuming that role in study groups, and found that I enjoyed helping people understand the concepts that were stumping them. Toward the end of my undergrad, I found it helpful to teach on the side of taking my classes to help me afford my tuition and living expenses.
I have a B.S. in Biology and PhD in Biomedical Sciences, which incorporated extensive training in biology as well as a series of advanced mathematics coursework, up to Calculus III. Throughout my undergrad, I tutored Calculus I/II to help pay tuition, and have trained undergraduates and early grad students in various aspects of Biology.

I like to first start with a very informal discussion about why the student wants tutoring, what they hope to get out of it, and how often they would like to meet to accomplish their goals.
I have worked predominantly with undergraduate and early graduate students in different areas of mathematics and Biology.
