About Jay
I have 8 years of classroom teaching in addition to tutoring, standardized testing prep, and being a mentor teacher for those new to the profession. I taught high school mathematics for 8 years and bring a wealth of insight, instructional tools, and passion to my teaching.
I enjoy being able to take students from a place of frustration to a place of confidence.
I have B.A. in Mathematics as well as 8 years teaching high school math and designing curriculum.

I assess the current content a student is working on, and have them describe to me what they are confident in and what they are confused by. We assess areas for improvement and start working on a path to compentency through homework help, providing supplemental instructional materials, and additional practice.
