About Barb
I'm a hands-on instructor & educator. I believe in building my students up so they become successful and happy. Instructing young adults to be all they desire is my ultimate goal! I show them tools to make their dreams reality.
Being an educator who inspires, is a legacy I want to leave behind. I motivate young and seasoned adults into finding their niche and passion.
I became involved in teaching as a Prime for Life Drug and Alcohol Prevention Specialist and Educator in Macomb County, Michigan schools. Before long, I received a promotion and became responsible for teaching seven classes which were court ordered through probation services. Additional, I taught the above curriculums in Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center.
My Mental Health Coaching began after my brother completed suicide in 2012.

***6 hour 6 subject Botvin Life Skills Transitions Curriculum is a 2 day schedule, with 3 hours per date. This is a seminar for ages 13 to 25.
Botvin Life Skills Transitions includes:

*Decision Making and Risk
*Stress Management
*Time & Money Management
*Building Relationships
Prices below are for the full curriculum and both class dates.
In these lessons, I teach resume building, and show folks the skills needed to communicate effectively, in order to secure the job. We discuss building healthy relationships and what that looks like in today's world, with stress and risk factors in the equation. Then, I bring it all together, teaching the steps necessary to manage time and money.
If your student is in need of motivation, I am the one for the job!
I am also a Mental Health Coach, trained through NAMI. In person and Zoom one-on-one appointments are available.
I provide individual sessions with both young adults and adults privately. We will discuss personal dreams, life goals, and aspirations. I exclusively work with the person.

$250 per student + $30 workbook fee (students receive this after registration, and it is used throughout class.
