About Elisa
I am a certified NYS liscenced teacher who has taught social studies/ history consecutivly with 5+ years of experience. I have worked with elementary level grades such as 4th & 5th grade, middle school level 6th-8th grade and high school level 9th-11th grade students. I have worked with studnets with all different learning styles and have adapted those styles in lessons. I am willing to go above and beyond for students and supporting them with their academic studies. I am very flexible with my hours and is willingly avaliable to support in whatever ways possible
I enjoy supporting students in developing their own understanding and learning styles in their education. I am passionate about education, living by the motto that we are life long learners, living with a growth mindset. Suppporting students in their academic journies is one of my greatest joys in life. I believe that all students deserve an equal and fair education that inspires them to pursue their own learning.

Working with new students, typically I would first get to know the student and who they are. I think it is important to build the relationship first to better support students. Get an understanding of their background and how I could better support them with their learning. After getting an understanding of the best ways the student(s) learn I will implement that in our lessons to better support.
